The Boston Celtics secured a big home win on Friday night against the Dallas Mavericks, 114-93. As it turns out, a fan was a little bit too excited with the victory, and his over-enthusiasm appears to have aggravated Celtics wing Jaylen Brown's hand injury.

According to Brown himself, a fan may have been too passionate with his congratulatory high-five that it hurt Brown's injured hand:

There are no reports about Brown potentially missing time over this peculiar incident, so that's definitely good news. We can only imagine how terrible that fan would feel if Brown wound up sitting out a few games just because of his overeager high-five. It would be even worse if his friends found out.

Brown certainly showed no signs of the injury on Friday, as he took full advantage of his return to the starting lineup with a game-high 21 points on 9-of-15 shooting. The 6-foot-7 guard/forward also added two 3-pointers, two rebounds, two assists, three steals, and just one turnover in 27 minutes of action.

The Celtics' next game is scheduled on Monday when they host the Brooklyn Nets. Unless there is an update from the team regarding his hand injury, we fully expect Jaylen Brown to suit up for that one.
