After a pedestrian performance in the Boston Celtics' Game 1 loss against the Milwaukee Bucks, Jaylen Brown bounced back in a major way on Tuesday night. Brown was arguably Boston's best player on the court in Game 2 as the Celtics blew out Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co., 109-86.

Brown started out hot dropping 17 points in the opening period. The Celtics star finished with a game-high 30 points on a highly-efficient 11-of-18 from the floor, to go along with six treys, five rebounds, and six assists in 38 minutes of action.

After his huge performance, Brown explained why he had to enter Game 2 with a win-or-go-home mentality:

“Just how you respond means everything in this league,” Brown said, via Souichi Terada of Mass Live. “We didn’t play how we wanted to in the first game, and we couldn’t come back and drop another game at home. We knew we had to come out and play like our season was on the line, and we did. We came out and fought from the jump.”

Brown then went on to say that at this point in the season, he has his eyes intently fixed on the prize. The Celtics stud knows what's at stake here and he intends to do everything in his power to help his team:

“My whole life is on pause,” Brown said. “The only thing that matters is the playoffs. Day in day out. We’ve got to just do what we’ve got to do to make sure we’re ready to perform. This time of year, everybody has nagging injuries or things that they are dealing with, so we can’t let that be an excuse. We have to find a way mentally and physically to overcome whatever it is and just get it done.”
