Jaylen Brown knows his seasons. After the Boston Celtics hacked out a convincing 20-point win over the Denver Nuggets on Sunday night, Brown was asked about a rather profound tweet.

On Twitter, he posted a short quote, seemingly alluding to the Celtics' positive turnaround.

Not many, however, immediately understood what he meant. So, after their latest victory, the Celtics star explained his flowery remark, per the post of NBC Sports Boston.

“Today is the first day of spring, it's the spring equinox, so I think that's a fact, winter always does turn to spring. It's one of my favorite quotes, one of my favorite metaphors. When things aren't going well sometimes, you know, just have hope that winter always turns to spring.”

The 25-year-old Brown has always been one of the more articulate guys in the NBA. He has always been vocal, especially when it comes to social issues. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that he can get quite deep at times.

The Celtics had a frustrating start to the season, as they tried to navigate through the first few months of new coach Ime Udoka. But in recent months, they have been on a hot run, climbing to 44-28 and the no. 4 spot in the Eastern Conference.

Brown, who had 30 points and six rebounds against the Nuggets, missed a few games at the onset of the campaign, which also contributed to the Celtics' slow start. But when fully healthy, he and Jayson Tatum make up one of the deadliest tandems in the NBA. As linguists eloquently say: Them ballers.
