The Boston Celtics finished off a four-game sweep of Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night. However, in Game 4, Celtics star forward Jaylen Brown reportedly injured his hamstring. On Thursday, Celtics head coach Ime Udoka detailed how Jaylen Brown's injured hamstring is doing.

“It's something that could impact him throughout the series, but we'll have to see. We do expect him to play Game 1,” Udoka said.

This appears to be a relatively significant development. It's not exactly known when the Celtics star started feeling the hamstring injury. He was seen during the fourth quarter of Game 4 vs. the Nets reaching for his hamstring.

Brown missed eight games earlier in the season with a hamstring injury, so it is possible that he re-aggravated that same ailment.

After Game 4's win over the Nets, Brown spoke on the court about the injury. “I had some hamstring problems going on in the second half… I'm all right, I think I'm all right. I'm going to go get it checked out and should be good to go for the next one.”

That sentiment was reinforced Thursday with Udoka acknowledging that they believe Brown will play Game 1. Nevertheless, this is distressing news. The Celtics are stepping up in class as they face the NBA defending champion, Milwaukee Bucks.

The Bucks are also without one of their stars. Khris Middleton is still dealing with an MCL sprain. That latest update has him potentially missing more time than originally thought. In his absence, reigning NBA Finals MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo has taken on an even larger role, creating offense for his other teammates.

The second round series between the Celtics and the Bucks is likely to be the most anticipated of the round, just like the first round series vs. the Nets.
