The NBA playoffs are quickly approaching and the Boston Celtics are battling to keep their postseason hopes alive. They currently sit in seventh place in the Eastern Conference, holding a 34-31 record.

During Sunday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers, Celtics star Jaylen Brown suffered an ankle injury after colliding with Jayson Tatum. As of right now, Brown is ruled out for Wednesday night's game against the Orlando Magic, per Jay King.

Although he won't participate in the game against Orlando, there is at least the good news of Brown and Kemba Walker participating in a full practice. It's crunch time for the Celtics and they need all of the firepower they can get.

It's been a rocky season for the Celtics this year, to say the least. From rumors regarding a potential release of head coach Brad Stevens, multiple trade rumors of blowing up the team, and problems in the locker room, it's impressive this organization is in the running for a playoff spot right now.

With just seven games left on the schedule, they'll be doing everything they can to surpass the Miami Heat for the sixth-ranked spot to avoid the play-in tournament. Hopefully the game against the Magic is the only game Brown misses, as the team will miss his production and star presence on the floor. Brown is averaging 24.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game and now, the Celtics will need to find a way to make up for that on Wednesday night.

Luckily, this is a game the Celtics can afford to be without some of their top talent, as the Magic traded away all of their star players for draft picks right before the trade deadline. It should be an easy win for Boston, but without Jaylen Brown in the lineup, everything is on the table and Boston can't afford to slip up.
