Since Kevin Durant is expected to be sidelined for the All-Star game because of his knee injury, Jayson Tatum wants the NBA to replace the Brooklyn Nets star with his Boston Celtics teammate Jaylen Brown.

Tatum's desire to bring Brown alongside him to Cleveland is so high that he is even planning to send a text message to Adam Silver to make it happen.

“The experience is much better when you have a teammate there with you,” Tatum said on Friday ahead of their showdown with the Detroit Piston, per MassLive “And (Kevin Durant’s) not playing, so hopefully. He’s deserving for sure, so hopefully, they pick (Brown) to be the replacement.

“I might text Adam Silver. See what we can do.”

It's unlikely that Jayson Tatum's text will be enough to convince Silver and the NBA to choose Jaylen Brown. However, the Celtics star does have the numbers to make a case as an All-Star replacement.

He is already considered one of the biggest snubs in the East after averaging 24.2 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists. The only flaw about his candidacy is that he missed a ton of games early in the season, playing in just 39 of 53 games so far.

When deciding for All-Stars and even their replacements, that is certainly a big factor. Not to mention that other frontcourt players like Jarrett Allen and Miles Bridges could also make a case since they have All-Star numbers and their team records are better than the Celtics.

Whatever the NBA decides, though, there is no doubt Jayson Tatum firmly believes Brown has been an All-Star this year and no one could say otherwise.
