The Boston Celtics have fallen far from grace. Just over 2 years ago, this team was competing in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Miami Heat. Now, they sit two games below .500, and are in danger of missing the playoffs. To call this team a disappointment would be a big understatement.

No one feels the disappointment from this team more than one certain legend. Celtics legend Bob Cousy (yes, THAT Bob Cousy) spoke out about this Boston squad, saying that he feels that this team is better than their current form.

“They should be a lot better than they are… It doesn't look like we're going to be hanging banner No. 18 any time soon.”

First of all, the fact that a 93-year-old Cousy is still watching Celtics games closely is amazing. Secondly, there's a lot of truth in Cousy's statements. This team, on paper, definitely has the talent to be a playoff contender. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown forming a one-two punch in the wings. Marcus Smart and Dennis Schroder in the backcourt, and Al Horford manning the paint. There's talent here… but it seems to be going to waste.

The simple fix for Jayson Tatum and the Celtics, according to Bob Cousy? A decent point guard!

“They had one in Kyrie [Irving], but he was a head case. They potentially had one in Kemba [Walker], although Kemba was a shooting guard more than a point guard. You need a penetrating point guard at that point who is a threat and then he passes off to the [Jayson] Tatums and the [Jaylen] Browns.”

We'll see if Brad Stevens goes on the hunt for a new point guard, as per Cousy's recommendations.
