Boston Celtics small forward Jayson Tatum is ecstatic over the St. Louis Blues' win in the 2019 NHL Stanley Cup Finals.

Tatum reacted to fellow St. Louis native and Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal's tweet in the aftermath of the Blues' win on Wednesday. The Blues beat the Boston Bruins on the road, 4-1, to capture their first Stanley Cup trophy in their 52-year franchise history.

Apparently, Tatum couldn't hold back his emotions. No St. Louis sports fan should, for that matter. It's been a long time coming for the St. Louis Blues. Fifty-two years is a long time. At long last, the city of St. Louis can savor an elusive pro hockey championship.

Tatum's tweet didn't sit well with many Boston fans, however. Tatum couldn't care less if he plays for the Celtics – it's his right to root for his favorite hockey team. Obviously, since he's from St. Louis, it's not the Bruins. We're just stating the obvious here.

Nonetheless, some Boston fans couldn't help themselves, either. A fan tweeted, “Trade him to New Orleans now.” The same fan said, “It's a joke, relax.”

Another one tweeted, “Leave Boston now.” For the most part, the comments on Tatum's tweet were about him leaving Beantown. His tweet also intensified the Jayson Tatum-for-Anthony-Davis trade rumors.

Bruins fans are still unhappy about the Game 7 loss to the Blues. They reacted to Tatum's tweet in the heat of the moment. Hopefully, they'll get over it sooner than later.

As for Tatum, don't act surprised if you see him in the Blues' victory parade in downtown St. Louis in the next few days.
