Jayson Tatum had the worst performance of his 2022 playoffs run in Game 3 against the Milwaukee Bucks, but the Boston Celtics forward admitted there is no one to blame but himself.

In his postgame presser, Tatum explained what went wrong for him and what he believes caused his struggles. According to the Celtics star, he might be trying to do and think too much in the game.

Tatum finished with just 10 points on 4-of-19 shooting from the field–including 0-of-6 from the 3-point line. He played 41 minutes and was unable to make an impact on other areas, tallying just one assist and three rebounds. He did have four blocks and one steal, but he turned the ball over three times as the Celtics lost 103-101.

“I was probably just thinking a little too much,” Tatum said of his struggles before crediting the Bucks' defense for crowding him and being physical, per Jay King of The Athletic.

It was definitely a game Jayson Tatum would want to forget quickly. He was outclassed by Giannis Antetokounmpo all game long, unable to make the adjustments needed to get himself going offensively.

For what it's worth, the 24-year-old vowed to play better in Game 4, adding that he'll be “ready Monday trying to get a win.”

Prior to the Game 3 dud, Tatum was actually averaging 28.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 2.0 steals per game in the 2022 postseason. With that said, Celtics fans can at least be confident that Tatum is more than capable of getting over his latest struggles.
