Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum has a simple rule after having bad games: sleep it off and move on. So far based on what we've seen, that has been quite effective.

Tatum scored just 10 points in their Game 3 loss to the Heat last Saturday. However, on Monday in Game 4, he bounced back big time with a 31-point explosion on top of eight rebounds and five assists en route to the Celtics' 102-82 win.

When asked about his mentality heading to the contest after a poor performance, Tatum shared he's often mad at first but eventually shrugs it off because he knows in himself how good he is.

“I'm mad after a bad game, but then I sleep it off. I'm a big believer in you can't change what happened,” the Celtics star said, per NBA insider Keith Smith.

“Regardless of whether I have 10 points or 46 points, the next day is the next day.”

Now that is exactly what Celtics fans want to see from the team's leader. Bad games are unavoidable in the NBA and even the best of them struggle from time to time. However, what separates the great ones from the good ones is their ability to bounce back.

More importantly, that mentality he has will be crucial as the Celtics try to get the series lead against the Heat when they return to Miami for Game 5.
