Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum wants to be the best in the NBA, but to do that, he knows he needs to be the best in his position first. That is the reason why he loves playing against the likes of LeBron James and Kevin Durant.

On Wednesday, Tatum held a short Twitter Q&A with his fans. When asked about the favorite players he loves playing against, he mentioned LeBron and KD along with Carmelo Anthony and Kawhi Leonard.

“Kd, bron, Melo, kawhi….. basically best players at my position,” Tatum wrote in response.

Now that is the answer Celtics fans would love to hear. As the face of the franchise, the Beantown team wouldn't want it any other way. They need a superstar who never backs down in any challenge, and it sure looks like Jayson Tatum has that mentality.

It's easier to like that answer as well after Tatum balled out against Durant during the NBA playoffs. The 24-year-old outshined KD throughout their showdown in the first round, even making life hard for the superstar forward with his defense.

Tatum was the biggest reason the Celtics swept the series against the Nets, basically showing he's already better than Durant.

Of course the real challenge for Tatum now is to actually match the accomplishments his peers have achieved. Durant, LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard are NBA champions, and he knows very well that he must also be able to lead his team to the title to be in the same conversation.
