It is not the first time the Boston Celtics faced a 3-2 deficit, and Jayson Tatum wants the Golden State Warriors to know that they won the last time they experienced it–against NBA champions no less.

Tatum knows very well that they have to step up and be near perfect when they play the Warriors in Game 6. Any mistake could spell the end for them and their dreams to bring that NBA-record 18th championship banner to TD Garden.

While the current core of the Celtics have no championship experience, Tatum highlighted that having their backs against the wall is no longer new to them. To recall, they also faced a 3-2 deficit against 2020-21 champions Milwaukee Bucks in the second round, but they won two straight to advance. That gives Tatum and the rest of the Beantown team the confidence that they can pull it off once again.

“I think having done it before should give you even more confidence that you can,” Tatum shared.

Jayson Tatum and the Celtics understand what's at stake, and while the pressure is high, it is clear they are not letting it get into their heads.

If the Celtics can keep their composure and avoid collapsing in crunch time, there is no doubt they can even things up and force Game 7. Of course that is easier said than done, especially against a well-balanced Warriors team, but Boston cannot do anything anymore but go all out and leave everything on the floor.
