Jayson Tatum always wants to put on a show for his son Deuce each time he makes the trip to TD Garden to watch him play. The Boston Celtics All-Star had the game of his life on Friday, coming up with a career-high 53-point explosion in the Boston Celtics' 145-136 overtime victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Tatum's three-year-old son, however, was unable to see his dad ball out since he was not in attendance against the Wolves.

After the game, Tatum vowed to have more 50-point performances in the future for his toddler to see (via Jay King of The Athletic).

The Celtics brass should give little Deuce tickets for life if it means his old man will drop 50 every single time. The two-time All-Star, after all, did no wrong against Minny, making 16 of his 25 shots from the field and going 6-of-10 from long distance.

He scored 18 points in the fourth quarter and overtime to ensure Boston put away the pesky Wolves for good. Tatum also corralled 10 rebounds and dished out four assists in 41 minutes of action.

Tatum pretty much outplayed every defender the Wolves threw at him as he scored at will for most of the game. Wolves All-Star D'Angelo Russell prolonged the contest with his late-game heroics in the fourth. While his gutsy performance was indeed valiant, the night just belonged to Tatum.

The Celtics, meanwhile, have a two-game winning streak going on, something that they haven't been able to do as of late. They are finally back above .500 and currently holding the seventh spot in the East with a 27-26 slate.
