To say that Jaylen Brown's season-ending injury is a tough blow for the Boston Celtics is an understatement. But we're gonna say it anyway: Jaylen Brown's season-ending injury is a tough blow for the Boston Celtics. And there's no other player who feels this the most than star forward Jayson Tatum.

Without his partner in crime, Tatum will be forced to carry a heavier load as the Celtics look to go on another deep run in the NBA Playoffs. But like a good brother, the two-time All-Star is more concerned about Brown's health.

Tatum told reporters that he had a tough conversation with Brown regarding his latest setback, revealing he gave his full support to his teammate's surgery to repair his torn wrist (via Chris Grenham of Forbes Sports).

The 22-year-old Tatum added that personal concerns will always outweigh basketball, as he wants Brown to do what's best for him.

“From the beginning, I told him I'm always supportive of people doing what's best for them and taking care of himself and his body first. Obviously, we need him and we'd love to have him, but we know that health comes first.”

With Brown sidelined, the Celtics will have to have Tatum playing at an insane level to make a strong run in the NBA Playoffs. Evan Fournier will also have to pick up the slack as he takes over Brown's starting spot. Kemba Walker, Tristan Thompson, and even Robert Williams all have to up the ante as well for the squad.

Perhaps Jayson Tatum and the rest of the Celtics can dedicate the rest of their campaign to Jaylen Brown.
