Jayson Tatum is among the Boston Celtics players happy to see Al Horford make his return.

After finishing two season-long spells with the Philadelphia 76ers and the Oklahoma City Thunder, Al Horford made a sensational comeback to the Celtics this season.

The veteran big man was warmly welcomed by the entire Boston team, including Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum.

According to Tatum, Horford did not only make his mark on him as a teammate but also as a person, something he is confident the whole Celtics team agree on.

“I'm extremely happy that Al's back,” Tatum said via NBC Sports. “I love everything about Al. How he plays the game, how he goes about his duties on a day-to-day basis. He's a true professional.”

“I'm sure everyone's going to say the same thing about him,” he continued. “He's just a great teammate and a great person to be around.”

It can be recalled that Horford first joined the Celtics in 2016. At the time, he was already 30 years old but he still managed to make a great impact on the team. In fact, he was a key figure in the C's remarkable playoff run from 2016 to 2019 where the team made it to the Eastern Conference Finals twice, and in the semi-finals once.

This time, Horford is hoping to do exactly the same thing and he is looking on course to having it done already, having averaged an impressive 14 points, 10.5 rebounds and four blocks per game in his first two outings with the Celtics.
