Jayson Tatum led the Boston Celtics to a Game 7 Eastern Conference Finals victory over the Miami Heat with 26 points, 6 assists, 10 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 1 steal. He hit a number of clutch shots from the field which ultimately halted a Heat comeback. Boston is now looking to win their first NBA Finals since 2008. For Tatum, this will be his first Finals appearance.

The Celtics' superstar shared an enthusiastic message for Boston fans ahead of the team's upcoming clash with the Golden State Warriors.

Jayson Tatum has become the face of the Celtics. He was drafted by the team in 2017 and has steadily improved each season. He was known as an extremely good player prior to the 2021-2022 NBA season. However, he officially cemented his status as a superstar this year.

Tatum was selected to his first ever All-NBA First Team and even received some MVP consideration. The 24-year old was also named the NBA Eastern Conference Finals MVP following Boston's win over the Heat.

However, there was a point during the year where rumors swirled about a potential trade of either Tatum or co-star Jaylen Brown. The Celtics were under .500 prior to the trade deadline and many believed one of Boston's star players could be on the move.

Instead, the Celtics got red hot and finished with the second best record in the Eastern Conference. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown proved all of the critics wrong this year without question.

Now they are headed to their first ever NBA Finals with a chance to upset the odds and defeat the Warriors.
