Joe Johnson played just two minutes in the Boston Celtics' 111-101 home win Wednesday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers, but those were two meaningful minutes for the 40-year-old veteran. It's been 20 years since the Celtics selected Johnson in the 2001 NBA Draft, and he's somehow found a way back to the league with his original team.

Fans who grew up in the mid-2000s watching the NBA must have loved seeing Johnson lace it up again, and he did not disappoint them by burying a basket before the night was over, sinking a jumper on his only attempt of the game. Johnson perfectly described what he felt like being back in the NBA, per Tim Bontemps of ESPN.

“It's amazing to be back here 20 years later,” Johnson said. “It's still surreal to me.”

With the Celtics dealing with plenty of COVID-19-related absences, they sought the services of Johnson, who had last played in the NBA in the 2017-18 season with the Utah Jazz and the Houston Rockets before Boston inked him to a 10-day deal.  Although he is not expected to be with the Celtics for the rest of the season, Johnson is ecstatic about the latest opportunity he got to show that there's still enough gas in the tank of the man they call Iso Joe.
