Jayson Tatum dropped 26 points as the Bolton Celtics overcame Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers by the narrowest of margins. The game finished 88-87 to the Celtics, led by Tatum's impressive performance. Embiid, on the other hand, had a game to forget as he struggled throughout the night.

As a result of Tatum's strong performance and Embiid's contrasting one, Embiid received some heavy trolling from the Boston network after the match. In a post-game interview with Tatum, the network poked fun at Embiid by labelling Tatum as “still Embiid's father” right below his stats (via The Fog):

Tatum's 26 points and career-high 16 rebounds were team-leading numbers for the Celtics, who improved their record to 12-10. It was the Celtics' second consecutive victory and their fifth in their last seven games as they continue to improve with the season. There will be some worry from Boston, however, over Jaylen Brown's performance against the 76ers.

Meanwhile, the loss for the 76ers takes their record to 11-11, and it is now their third loss in four games. Embiid's performance on the night was a reflection of his team's struggles. The Celtics managed to limit the big man to just 13 points on 3-of-17 shooting. While Joel Embiid did manage 18 rebounds throughout the game, that wasn't enough to save him from the wrath of the Boston network.

Following the tightly contested game, the 76ers are now 11th in the Eastern Conference. “Embiid's father” Jayson Tatum and the Celtics are four places above them in 8th.
