Boston Celtics point guard Kemba Walker will not be dropping out from Team USA’s FIBA World Cup training camp.

Multiple players have already dropped out over the past few weeks, but Walker says he doesn't care and is excited to represent Team USA.

Kemba Walker is starting a new chapter in his basketball career. After spending the first eight years as a pro with the Charlotte Hornets, Walker signed a four-year, $140 million contract with the Celtics. The three-time All-Star will use Team USA to get into a nice rhythm before Boston's training camp starts in September.

Walker has career averages of 19.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 5.5 assists in 605 games. He put up 25.6 points and 5.9 assists this past season with the Hornets. Walker is replacing Kyrie Irving as the Celtics' point guard and best player, and he figures to mesh well with head coach Brad Stevens and forwards Gordon Hayward, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

The other guards who are still playing for Team USA this summer are Damian Lillard, Donovan Mitchell and Kyle Lowry. Tatum is on the team as well and Brown could be added in the next few days. The Celtics, and all the other teams who have players playing in the World Cup, are praying no one gets injured.
