The Boston Celtics made the headlines after reports of a locker room spat erupted following their Game 2 loss to the Miami Heat. The incident apparently lit a fire under their belly, as Boston scored a massive Game 3 victory to finally get on the board in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Following the 117-106 Game 3 win, Celtics All-Star Kemba Walker acknowledged that while all teams go through rough patches, their chemistry and bond, especially on the court, still came through in the end.

Via John Karalis of MassLive:

“Every team goes through adversity. I always knew that we had great chemistry when we are together. We love each other and we love playing with each other. So nothing new.”

Whenever a shouting match occurs in the locker room, people tend to blow things out of proportion. While it may be a concerning issue on the surface, the incident only showed the Celtics' competitive fire and that's what drove them to a much-needed win in Game 3.

“Like I said, we have great team chemistry. We have great team competitiveness and we push each other to be the best that we can. We pushed each other tonight to make necessary plays, to make the hard plays and we were able to come out with a victory.”

The Beantown Boys dominated from the get go and established a 20-point lead in the fourth quarter. Though Miami threatened to stage another comeback, the Celtics stood tough in the end game and held on.

On a personal standpoint for Kemba Walker, he played much better in Game 3 than he did in the first two games of the series. The four-time All-Star scored 21 points while shooting an efficient 8-of-16 from the field to go along with four three-pointers in 40 minutes.
