Boston Celtics All-Star point guard Kemba Walker says he loves to score the basketball since he does it at an elite level, but that doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy passing the ball and getting his teammates involved.

Walker says he's a willing passer and looking forward to all the space he's going to play with on the Celtics since Boston has perimeter shooters on the wing in Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Gordon Hayward.

“I think there will be a lot of space. I’m a willing passer as well. I’m very unselfish,” Walker said, via NBC Sports Boston. “I love to score, don’t get it twisted. Whenever I have an opportunity to score, I’m going to score. But, when I draw defenders and see open guys, I’m going to get rid of that thing. I’m excited. I’m looking forward to kinda changing my game as well, just giving the ball up a lot more.”

Kemba Walker is one of the best slashers in the game. Whenever he puts his head down and drives toward the basket, the three-time All-Star always attracts double teams, which frees up his teammates for wide-open looks from deep.

This past season with the Charlotte Hornets, Walker averaged 25.6 points and 5.9 assists while shooting 43.4 percent from the field and 35.6 percent from beyond the arc. He's never played with talented teammates like Tatum, Brown and Hayward before.

It wouldn't be a surprise to anyone if the Celtics' new floor general averages a career-high in assists in 2019-20.
