Boston Celtics point guard Kemba Walker will return to the lineup for Friday night's game against the Atlanta Hawks after missing three games due to left knee soreness, according to an official report from the team.

Though he is going to play, ESPN's Tim Bontemps reports that Walker will likely be placed on a minutes restriction. And in other Celtics injury-related news, Gordon Hayward, Daniel Theis and Jaylen Brown will all be held out:

The fact that Walker is ready to return to the lineup is great news for the Celtics, who are currently holding a 35-15 overall record and aiming for a spot in the postseason. The former 9th overall pick underwent an MRI exam a few weeks ago — the results of which came back “mostly clean.”

In his 42 games played this season, Walker has racked up averages of 22.0 points on 43.9 percent shooting from the field (38.8 percent from beyond the arc), 5.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.0 steal in 32.1 minutes per outing.

Friday night's matchup between the Celtics and Hawks is scheduled to tip inside TD Garden at 7:30 p.m. ET. Boston will be looking to extend its five-game winning streak. Atlanta, on the other hand, has lost three of its last five.
