Boston Celtics guard Kemba Walker will miss his second straight game.

According to Adam Himmelsbach of The Boston Globe, Walker will miss tonight's game against the Chicago Bulls.

Walker is in his first season with Boston after signing with the club via free agency this past summer.

In the 30 games he has played, Walker is averaging 22.5 points, 5.2 assists and 3.9 rebounds over 32.3 minutes per game. The veteran point guard is shooting well from the floor. Walker is shooting 43.2 percent from the floor and 39.8 percent from three-point range.

Walker played his collegiate basketball at the University of Connecticut,. He was originally selected by the Charlotte Bobcats with the ninth overall pick of the 2011 NBA Draft.

He spent the first eight years of his career with Charlotte's organization.  The UConn product averaged over 20 points per game in each of his final four seasons with the franchise. Walker established himself as a star, posting three straight All-Star appearances to conclude his tenure there.

Now, for the first time in his NBA career, Walker is a member of a team that has a legitimate chance to make the NBA Finals. And needless to say, it's largely due to his presence.

With a similar — and probably more talented — roster last season, the Celtics could not find a way to put things together. Clashing personalities and Kyrie Irving's impending free agency hung a dark cloud over the squad throughout the year.

Boston ultimately won just 49 games and was eliminated in the second round of the playoffs.

Thanks much in part to Walker being in tow this season, the C's seem to have a higher ceiling this time around.
