Former Boston Celtics center Kendrick Perkins has never been shy about letting his opinions be known. That hasn't changed recently as he provided some commentary for Tuesday's matchup between the Celtics and the Houston Rockets.

During the broadcast, Perkins shared his opinion on former Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving, (via NBC Sports Boston).

It's clear that Kendrick Perkins is not much of a fan of Kyrie Irving, who spent the previous two seasons with Boston. Perkins was a part of the 2008 Celtics squad that won an NBA championship.

Irving, now with the Brooklyn Nets, was an All-Star in both of his seasons with the Celtics. However, he was often criticized for his leadership skills and maturity — or lack thereof.

The Celtics made the Eastern Conference Finals in 2018 when Irving was out with injury only to be knocked out in the second round the following year led by a healthy Kyrie.

The 27-year-old point guard decided in the offseason to team up with superstar Kevin Durant in Brooklyn. Although Durant has been out the entire season with injury and Irving has missed games as well, the All-Star guard is having his best statistical season of his career in Brooklyn.

Despite his individual play, the Nets sit at just 24-28 this season as they cling to a playoff spot. Meanwhile, Boston has won 10 of their last 11 games and are 37-15 on the season.

As a player, Perkins was a defensive anchor for the big-3 era Celtics teams before being traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2011 and eventually retiring in 2018.
