Former NBA big man Kendrick Perkins has once again thrown shade toward Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving.

As a guest on Kristine Leahy's show, Perkins says he doesn't care where Irving goes this summer and is disappointed with how Kyrie played and led the Celtics this season.

The Celtics lost to the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round of the 2019 playoffs in five games. Perkins was critical of Irving's play and lack of leadership in the postseason.

It's crazy how things can change throughout a season. Irving told Celtics fans at the beginning of the season he planned on re-signing with Boston. The temperature on Irving, though, has changed in Beantown. At this point, it would shock a lot of Celtics fans if Irving came back after everything that happened this year.

Irving has been heavily linked to the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets. Now, if the Celtics acquire Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans this offseason, the odds of Irving coming back would increase. Some believe Irving and Kevin Durant are trying to team up in New York or Brooklyn. Both the Knicks and Nets have cap space to sign two max contract players.

The Celtics went to Game 7 of the 2018 Eastern Conference Finals without Irving and Gordon Hayward. It's not a good look that Boston got bounced in the second round this season with both All-Stars back in the lineup.
