Kevin Garnett got his first and only title in 2008 by beating none other than the Kobe Bryant and Los Angeles Lakers. Perhaps the most famous clip after the Boston Celtics finally won is Garnett screaming his lungs out before calming himself down for a post-game interview. But in Garnett's new memoir, the legendary big man shared the heartfelt conversation between him and Kobe right after the NBA Finals.

Via Bleacher Report, below is a snippet from From KG: A TO Z: An Uncensored Encyclopedia of Life, Basketball, and Everything in Between, Garnett's new memoir. Garnett shared how Kobe congratulated him but at the same time, told him to keep his guard up.

“Congratulations, man,” says Bean.

“Enjoy this, cause there ain't gonna be too many more. I'll see yo b—h ass next year.”

I have to get in my blows, have to say: “We activated now. This ain't that Minnesota s–t.”

“We'll see.”

“Say hi to Vanessa and the kids,” I say.

“Love you, my brotha.”

“Love you too, dawg.”

After their exchange, Kevin Garnett wanted to find out where the Lakers were headed after the loss. Bryant didn't seem to have any intention of staying for long in their arch rivals' town, definitely with plans to start preparing for the next year. True enough, Kobe Bryant led his team to the next two titles.

Then I give him one of those gorilla hugs around the neck and ask, “Bean, y'all out tonight?”

“Hell, yes,” said Kob, “we getting the f–k outta this b—h.”

It's another revealing story about the man and the legend that is Kobe Bryant. Right after suffering the toughest losses of his life, Bryant was ready to get back up.
