Despite still being a rookie, Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum has turned a lot of heads with his mature game, which has made many think of him as someone ahead of his young age. One facet of his game that has also received a lot of praise is his composure, especially in late-game situations where the result is still hanging in the balance.

The team’s All-Star point guard, Kyrie Irving, recently spoke about what he’s seen in Tatum, and he had nothing but good words for the first-year player, and even classifies him as someone with the natural gift of being clutch.

Through 29 games, Jayson Tatum has been playing solid basketball for the Celtics, and is producing 13.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.0 steals per game. More importantly, he gives them a lot of versatility, as he can play and defend both forward positions.

With Irving currently injured, and Al Horford not 100 percent, the 19-year-old rookie will be relied upon heavily by the Celtics to step up his game and play more aggressively. Jayson Tatum is also expected to receive more playing time from head coach Brad Stevens, which could be what he needs to have a chance to further showcase his talents on the court.
