Back in the 2014-15 season, Kyrie Irving made his first playoff appearance for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Despite that being the case, he did not show any signs that he was nervous at all, and even played at a very high level, helping his former team win the first round en route to reaching the NBA Finals.

Irving was very impressive during the first round against the Boston Celtics, where he proved himself further as an elite player in the league. The five-time All-Star recently watched some footage of his performances in that series, and couldn’t believe how good he was.

He even said some expletives as a reaction to it, according to Adam Himmelsbach of The Boston Globe.

Now playing for the Celtics, Irving has shown that he can be a leader for them in his first season in Beantown. He has been playing very well all year long, with solid averages of 24.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.1 steals in 32.5 minutes per game.

More importantly, he has helped make it possible for them to be in second place in the Eastern Conference with a 45-20 record so far.

With the Celtics looking geared to make a deep playoff run this season, Irving will have the opportunity to surpass his performances in the last three years he has made the postseason. He could also repay the trust given to him by the storied franchise by continuing his strong play, and even bringing a championship to them, which will also strengthen his legacy and be considered an all-time great.
