Since arriving to the Boston Celtics, All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving has voiced nothing but praise toward the organization.

In line with that, the 25-year-old has now dished out some major compliments concerning head coach Brad Stevens during an interview with current UConn women's basketball head coach Geno Auriemma on his Holding Court podcast (h/t ccupgirl on Reddit).

“Brad fits perfectly in terms of that because he has an intellectual mind and is an intellectual human being,” said Irving of Stevens. “It was something I was unbelievably craving in terms of what I wanted for my career.”

Stevens has been widely regarded as being one of the brightest coaches in the league since becoming the head coach of the Celtics. He has turned the franchise into a constant in the playoff and now potential a title-contending team.

These comments from Irving don't stray away from the type of dialogue that has been said about him over the last few years. Stevens has become a proven coach in the league that is well-respected by his colleagues and players.

That said, these comments may turn to the narrative that he's taking a shot at Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue. There isn't any subtle about that notion as Irving is simply stating that he's never had a coach like that in his NBA career. Regardless of how this is being perceived, it's clear that he has found much comfort playing in Boston.
