Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving’s signature shoe deal with Nike has produced some of the best kicks in the last few years and now he has revealed the latest design inspired by one of his favorite movies ever—Toy Story. The classic children’s animated movie has found its way to Nike shoes thanks to one of the NBA’s best.

The Nike “Core” sneakers were unveiled by the Boston Celtics star during an interview with Chris Strachan of the Sneaker School YouTube channel.

“Toy Story’s one of my favorite movies,” Irving said. “Seeing how that franchise has evolved is awesome. To be able to tell that inspiration and that influence and that story through my shoes is something I love connecting with.”

The “Toy Story” shoes are a tribute to the best friends in the movie, Woody and Buzz Lightyear, but are trendy enough for basketball players to rock on the court.

The shoe will be released in the spring, but Strachan says that the “Toy Story” edition will not be made available to the public, unfortunately, as these shoes are PEs. PEs are Players Exclusive sneakers are those special edition shoes that are available only for the professional athlete.

The good news, though, is that other colorways can be had for $80, a very affordable price from the leading shoe manufacturer.

Be on the lookout for these shoes whenever Kyrie Irving plays in upcoming Celtics games.

It’s a bummer that the “Toy Story” kicks won’t be made available to the public so the most we can hope for is that Nike eventually releases them sometime in the future.
