Boston Celtics star Kyrie Irving had one last message for his teammates before strapping up for a pivotal Game 5 against the Milwaukee Bucks, now facing impending elimination after the series turned to 3-1.

“Just let it fly, man,” said Irving, according to Jay King of The Athletic. “Everything you've got.”

Irving hasn't exactly endeared himself to the fan base there, during his short stint in Bean Town, and fans have been quick to show it, as Irving's inefficiency has spelled doom for the Celtics after taking a 1-0 lead in the series.

The star point guard has shot a baffling 19-of-62 in the past three games, all losses — failing to get the job done against a Bucks team that has constantly kept the Celtics on their toes.

Irving was criticized for his shot selection and lack of shot-making, but the dynamo suggested he should have shot 30 shots, instead of the 22 he put up on Monday, making only seven of them.

Boston has switched from being a ball-sharing team with Al Horford as the pivot man anchor, to basing their success and failure around Irving, their star player.

At this point of the season, there is no easy switch for Brad Stevens after riding Irving and his playmaking throughout the last six months, now all Boston can hope for it that he's letting those fly into the hoop this time around and give the Celtics a fighting chance to prolong this series.
