Kyrie Irving’s upcoming “Uncle Drew” movie won’t be out for another eight months, but fans eagerly awaiting the film’s release don’t have to wait any longer to get a general idea of the story behind Irving’s big-screen debut.

CBS Sports’ Matt Moore took a screencap of Uncle Drew’s plot summary from IMDB and posted it on Twitter.

Uncle Drew, of course, is based on the highly-popular character Kyrie Irving played in a Pepsi digital series which sees him take on the role of an unassuming, elderly man who can surprisingly dominate on the blacktop.

The plot of the movie is very similar to Space Jam, but with Uncle Drew taking on the Jordan role and old people instead of Looney Toons. It remains to be seen exactly what Drew’s motivation for helping Dax win the streetball tournament will be, but anyone expecting this movie to have a coherent story better temper their expectations.

A good part of the movie will also likely revolve around Uncle Drew rounding up his old squad, which is a star-studded bunch that includes Shaquille O'Neal, Chris Webber, and Reggie Miller. But after this summer’s events, don’t be completely caught by surprise if there’s suddenly a plot twist that sees Drew grow unhappy in his role on such a great team and forces a move to a slightly inferior team. Just saying.
