Things could have gone much differently on Friday night if only the game officials made the right calls. In the end, it was the Miami Heat who escaped with a 111-103 victory over the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals. However, the win did not come without controversy.

Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel provided a summary of the NBA's official Last Two Minute Report from Game 6. Apparently, there were a handful of erroneous calls by the referees, and for the most part, they were not in the favor of the Celtics:

It seems like there were four officiating errors that benefited the Heat as opposed to the two that went in the favor of the Celtics. We can never tell if Boston would have won the game if the referees got their calls right, but there's no denying the Celtics would have been in a better position to succeed.

At the end of the day, this is all part of the game. We cannot expect referees to be faultless, and as much as the league tries to prevent these mistakes, there's just no way to completely eliminate human error. That is unless we have robots take the place of game officials. Perhaps a decade or so from now?
