Wednesday night's Game 6 between the Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors provided incredible drama in the final minutes of the fourth quarter and both overtime periods.

Unfortunately, some of that drama stemmed from decisions (and non-calls) made by the referees.

The NBA's Last 2 Minute report from Wednesday's game showed the Celtics were on the wrong side of two crucial decisions in the final quarter and in the first overtime.

The first of those decisions came at the end of the fourth.

Boston and Toronto were tied at 98-apiece with under 10 seconds to play when Celtics point guard Kemba Walker knifed through the Raptors defense. Walker appeared to be on the receiving end of contact from OG Anunoby and Fred VanVleet, but no foul was called.

Obviously, a foul call would have sent Walker to the line with a chance to ice the game and the series with a pair of free throws. Instead, the Raptors ended up with the ball–which was a controversial decision itself, given Kyle Lowry's apparent lack of control–though Norman Powell's game-winner was off the mark.

The second decision that went against the Celtics came with the teams tied in the final two minutes of the first overtime period.

Powell drove into the lane and drew a foul on Walker, but the Last 2 Minute Report stated he should have been whistled for a travel at the start of his drive.

It is unfortunate the Celtics were on the wrong side of crucial plays down the stretch, given they had a chance to close out the series.

Instead, the Celtics will prepare for Game 7 on Friday. Hopefully, this contest will be devoid of refereeing controversies.
