Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart has been fined $5,000 for flopping in Game 2 of the team's Eastern Conference semifinal against the Toronto Raptors.

Smart drew an offensive foul on Pascal Siakam as the Raptors star attempted to shield him from getting to Fred VanVleet. However, the call was overturned after Toronto challenged the play, with replays showing Smart totally embellishing the contact made with Siakam.

It would seem the NBA is using Smart as an example, especially since he is one of the league's notorious floppers. Kyle Lowry has also appeared to flop at times through the first two games.

Smart could probably care less about the fine, however, after he led the Celtics to a 2-0 series advantage. He caught fire in the fourth quarter of Game 2, making five of his six total 3-pointers in the period.

Smart's play helped the Celtics overcome an eight-point deficit heading into the fourth. He finished the game with 19 points and three rebounds to go along with a pair of blocks. He also chased VanVleet and Lowry all over the floor.

Boston is in the driver's seat after a pair of impressive performances.

The Raptors entered the series playing some of the best basketball of any team in Orlando, and they were also the best defensive team in terms of guarding against triples.

However, the Celtics have made the 3-pointer a major weapon. Boston shot 43.6 percent from beyond the arc in Game 1 and 39.5 percent from deep on Tuesday, thanks in part to Marcus Smart going unconscious in the fourth.
