Boston Celtics swingman Gordon Hayward appears to have turned a corner over the past few days, putting up two consecutive remarkable performances for the team.

Everyone's excited about the 28-year-old returning to top form, and teammate Marcus Smart shared how he personally feels about Hayward's comeback trail.

“I’m ecstatic for Gordon. I think we all are,” said Smart, per Chris Forsberg of NBC Sports. “We’re excited to see him out there and we’re really just glad to have him back on the court. But him feeling right, feeling good, and seeing him comfortable is something we needed as a team and for him as an individual.”

Hayward has been looking great of late, following a horrific, career-threatening foot injury he sustained in his first game as a Celtic last season.

The 6-foot-8 guard/forward has been making strides this term, and he has been fantastic in the Celtics' last two games.

Hayward put in arguably his best game in a Celtics uniform on Wednesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves, dropping a season-high 35 points.

He was back at it again on Friday against the Dallas Mavericks as the former All-Star flirted with a triple-double versus the Mavs, with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists.

It seems like Hayward has finally gotten his groove back, and with the second half of the season still on the horizon, the excitement of Smart and the rest of the team is understandably warranted.
