The Boston Celtics dropped a tough game to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday by a score of 119-115. Safe to say, some Celtics' players weren't happy and Marcus Smart was one who showed his frustration. In turn, Smart was suspended by the NBA for one game for threatening language towards an official, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Smart played 37 minutes and fouled out of the game after a miserable shooting night. He finished just 4-17 from the field and only 1-10 from beyond the arc as the Celtics dropped an easy game against a struggling Thunder team.

For Boston, they will have to face the Charlotte Hornets without Smart in the lineup. Brad Stevens' squad are hanging around in the Eastern Conference and are trying their best to avoid the play-in tournament.

Boston was called for 19 fouls in the game, which paid huge dividends given that they only lost by four points to a Thunder team that is clearly in tank mode as they aim for a top pick in the NBA Draft.

Of course, finding out one of your starters is suspended hours before tipoff is never ideal, and now Steves will have to find a way to beat the Hornets without one of their best players in the lineup.

The hope is that the Celtics can avoid a seven or eight seed in the Eastern Conference and steer clear of the play-in tournament. However, each game is important and Tuesday's loss against the Thunder could loom large.
