Former Boston Celtics teammates Isaiah Thomas and Terry Rozier engaged in a friendly Twitter barb on Sunday morning.

Thomas inquired about open gyms in Boston, to which Rozier—who turns 25 today—responded with a challenge to a game of one-on-one. Never one to miss a beat, Thomas retorted by saying he was more than game:

Now a member of the Denver Nuggets, Thomas made back-to-back All-Star teams with the Celtics in 2016 and 2017. Thomas led the Celtics to the Eastern Conference Finals in the 2016-17 season, averaging almost 29 points and six assists per game.

However, Thomas was dealt to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Kyrie Irving prior to the 2017-18 season. Following his rather unceremonious exit from Boston, Thomas has dealt with injuries and frustrations, suiting up for three teams in the last two years.

In nine games with the Nuggets this season, Thomas is averaging 8.6 points on just 37 percent shooting from the field.

Coincidentally, Thomas' departure would lead to an increased role for Rozier, who broke out to average 11 points and almost five rebounds last year. With Irving sidelined for the 2018 playoffs, Rozier averaged 16.5 points, 5.7 assists and 5.3 rebounds as the starting point guard.

But with Irving back to full strength and having one of the best seasons of his career, Rozier has taken a step back. The newly-minted 25-year-old is averaging three fewer minutes per game, and his Effective Field Goal percentage has dipped.

Both Thomas and Rozier will be back in the playoffs this season, with Thomas' Nuggets battling for the top seed in the Western Conference and Rozier's Celtics looking to climb into the top three in the East.
