Boston Celtics wing Jaylen Brown has been named vice president of the NBA Players' Association and will serve his term as a three-year member of the committee.

Denver Nuggets guard Isaiah Thomas is happy for his former Celtics teammate, and he took to Twitter to congratulate him
while ripping Brown's haircut in the process:

Not a bad one from IT.

Brown is in his third NBA season.

The 22-year-old, who played his collegiate basketball at the University of California, was originally selected with the third overall pick of the 2016 NBA Draft.

He played in 78 games during his rookie campaign, making 20 starts. During that time, he averaged 6.6 points and 2.8 rebounds over 17.2 minutes per game while shooting 45.4 percent from the floor, 34.1 percent from three-point range and 68.5 percent from the free-throw line.

Then, last season, Brown had a breakout year of sorts, starting all 70 contests in which he played and registering 14.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and one steal across 30.7 minutes a night while making 46.5 percent of his field-goal attempts, 39.5 percent of his long-distance tries and 64.4 percent of his foul shots. He then proceeded to record 18 points per game in the Celtics' run to the Eastern Conference Finals, officially putting himself on the map.

This year, Brown got off to a very rocky start, and while he has improved significantly over the last couple of months, his numbers are still suffering as a result of the poor start, as he is posting just 12.7 points and 4.3 rebounds through 26 minutes per game, shooting 45 percent from the field, 31.6 percent from downtown and 68.1 percent from the charity stripe.
