The Milwaukee Bucks took a 2-1 series lead over the Boston Celtics after winning Game 3 of their second round showdown, 123-116. Former Celtic and current NBA analyst Paul Pierce — who predicted that the series was over after Boston won Game 1 — had a simple reaction on Twitter.

Pierce has been constantly criticized by fans and to some extent, his fellow analysts, for making claims and predictions that are widely seen as absurd. Some of his most notable statements are having a better career than Dwyane Wade, making the stepback jumper famous, and being a better wing shooter than Klay Thompson.

Paul Pierce counting the Bucks out just because they lost the series opener will go down in the history books as yet another laughable claim by him, especially considering the fact that Giannis Antetokounmpo dominated Boston over the next two games. The Greek Freak is averaging 30.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 2.0 blocks over the last two contests. He's also shot the ball at an astounding 53.5 percent during that span.

Of course, the Celtics are not out of the series either, but everyone who has watched both teams during the regular season should know that this isn't going to be a walk in the park for either of them. Both squads are loaded with talent and are led by two MVP-caliber players: Antetokounmpo for the Bucks and Kyrie Irving for the Celtics.

The Celtics will have an opportunity to even things up on Monday, May 6, as Game 4 will still be held in Boston.

And maybe from this point forward, Pierce will be more careful about the things he'll say on national TV.
