Ray Allen, an NBA Hall of Famer and one of the best sharpshooters in the history of basketball, has landed a job as a head coach. However, it isn't in the NBA or in the college ranks. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Allen has become the new head coach at Gulliver Prep School in Florida. The Boston Celtics legend will embark on a new career.

The 10-time All-Star and former NBA champion is headed to Florida to head up the Gulliver Prep team, and he should make a wonderful head coach given his vast experience with the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat.

Ray Allen's son, Ray Allen III, is also on Gulliver's squad, so the hiring makes tremendous sense in that regard. Allen is also a Miami legend — he hit one of the most clutch shots of all time, enabling the Heat to come from behind and beat the San Antonio Spurs in the 2013 NBA Finals.

Perhaps one day Allen will make his way to either the college ranks or as a coach in the NBA, but this is the start of a new journey for the former Celtics sharpshooter who played alongside Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and many others in Boston, not to mention LeBron James and Dwyane Wade in Miami.

Allen's jersey will hang forever in the NBA Hall of Fame, and the Celtics legend should have no problem coaching hoops.
