The Boston Celtics plan on retiring Kevin Garnett's No. 5 next season, but Ray Allen hasn't decided whether he'll be in attendance for that or for KG's induction into the Hall of Fame.

On Cedric Maxwell's podcast, Allen discussed his frayed relationship with his ex-teammates and said “it would take Kevin and I to have a conversation” to get him to these ceremonies.

The Hall of Famers have beefed since Allen passed on Boston's two-year, $12 million offer to ink a three-year, $10 million deal with the Miami Heat. In September 2012, KG revealed that he no longer had Allen's phone number.

“I left as a free agent. I left because there was so many unresolved issues that the team wasn't considering or willing to change …” Allen told Maxwell.

In 2017, Allen was excluded from a Celtics reunion on KG's “Area 21” show. Garnett explained that the “situation with Ray is very sensitive … when we all talked about doing this reunion tour, we were talking about guys we considered loyal and a part of this group.”

Allen explained why he's still hurt by all this:

“I've gotten so much hate, death threats, vitriol, from Boston fans.” Allen told Maxwell. “These guys have kind of removed me from the Big Three, said so many negative things about me. And I haven't had one negative thing to say about any of them … It hurt me … just to hear some of the things that have been said … We're supposed to be celebrating these times … But they want to be mad at me because I left.”

In February, Doc Rivers said he hopes “everyone is there” for KG's jersey ceremony and wants everybody to get over it.

It's not the only recent drama surrounding a Garnett number retirement. Last week, KG once again ripped Minnesota Timberwolves Glen Taylor when asked about getting his number retired by Minnesota.
