Jayson Tatum emerged last season with the Boston Celtics, and it looks like he will be ready to take the next step to stardom in the upcoming months.

Shane Larkin, who was last with the Celtics but could be playing overseas next season, has chimed in on just how good Jayson Tatum can be relative to the rest of the NBA, per Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe.

“Defensively, he’s very smart. He’s always in the right place, and he’s still going to continue to get better and grow and get smarter. … And I think with the skill set he already has, he can easily be one of the top five players in the league if he continues to work and lock in and really devote himself to the game. So I’m really excited to see where he goes.”

Larkin is not wrong. Tatum is an incredibly talented player, and he not yet even entering his prime. There's obviously a bit of a road for him to get there, but all signs point to greatness.

With Gordon Hayward returning from injury, coupled with Kyrie Irving, it will be interesting to see Boston's dynamic this season with Tatum ready to take that next step.
