Undrafted center Tacko Fall has been among the most popular names in the Las Vegas Summer League and one of the most well-received by the Boston Celtics fan base after the team signed him to an Exhibit 10 contract shortly after the NBA Draft.

His sheer gigantic size at 7-foot-7 makes him stand out from his competition, towering over most players after recording the highest measure of this year's NBA Draft Combine.

The former University of Central Florida big man was quite taken by surprise at fans clamoring: “We want Tacko” and cheering “M-V-P” when he went to the foul line — a star-like treatment.

“Not like that, not like that,” said Fall. “I knew something might happen, but nothing like that.”

“The crowd was anxious, so you have to give them what they want a little bit,” said Scott Morrison, who is coaching the Celtics' Summer League team. “What they wanted was some touches for Tacko, so hopefully it'll be the same and even better next game.”

Fall registered six points, four rebounds and a block in his 10 minutes of play against the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday, recording a plus-18 margin during his short stint on the court.

His size and 8-foot wingspan are nearly impossible to ignore, and the four-year center could carve a place in the league if he can keep battling for minutes and showing enough promise to notch a spot with the Celtics.

A potential two-way deal wouldn't be out of the question, allowing him to polish his skill set before he sets foot in an NBA hardwood with a much-refined set of tools.
