The Boston Celtics are currently dominating the Los Angeles Clippers at TD Garden. They just scored 74 points in the first half.

The Celtics are coming off a 129-128 loss against their archrivals, the Los Angeles Lakers a couple of days ago and obviously would like to bounce back. In that game, Boston allowed LA to come back from a 19-point deficit to eventually steal a win away from them.

The Celtics are making sure it doesn't happen for the second straight game.

However, history could repeat itself in this game.

After leading 74-53 at halftime, the Celtics allowed the Clippers to make a 28-12 run in the third quarter. Doc Rivers' squad ended up winning the game to the tune of a 123-112 score.

One particular reason for the Celtics' ongoing meltdown is Kyrie Irving, who suffered a knee sprain in the second quarter and has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Kyrie finished with 14 points on 4-of-7 shooting, two assists, and a rebound.

Without Irving, Boston struggled to score in the third period. Their offense now looks disorganized, and the Clippers are taking advantage of that.

A former Laker is helping the Clippers overcome the Celtics' lead.

Ivica Zubac, whom the Clippers acquired from a trade with the Lakers, currently has 12 points and nine rebounds.

Although the Celtics have been playing great as of late, winning ten of their last 11 games, they obviously aren't playing well without Irving, and if the Clippers manage to steal a game away from Boston, this will be the second time that they will be losing against a team from Los Angeles.

That won't suit well for Boston fans.
