Boston Celtics point guard Terry Rozier is willing to admit that his team dealt with its fair share of adversity this season. However, after Sunday's impressive win over the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, he says the Celtics are ready to put their struggles in the rearview mirror:

“I'll just say a lot of people put things that they were going through during the season behind them and we all looked at that big awesome goal at the end, so we're just clicking,” Terry Rozier told Yahoo Sports after Sunday's win. “We were going through a lot of stuff during the season … dealing with a lot of guys battling one another for spots and stuff. But I feel like we put everything behind us.”

Coming into this season, most experts and analysts thought the Celtics would be a top contender in the Eastern Conference. After all, Boston is a team loaded with talented players, including Kyrie Irving, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum and Al Horford. Furthermore, Gordon Hayward made his return to the lineup after recovering from the gruesome leg injury he sustained on opening night of the 2017-18 season.

Things were looking up for the Celtics this season, but issues on and off the court threatened to derail them. But despite the adversity they have faced this season, the Celtics have managed to persevere. And now, with the team coming together more than ever, their sights are set on the ultimate goal.

Irving, who had 26 points and 11 assists in Sunday's victory, echoed Rozier's sentiments during his postgame media availability:

“We were dealing with our ups and downs, but I think we just have an appreciation for the group that we have,” Irving told ESPN.

The Celtics and Bucks will meet for Game 2 on Tuesday night. Tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m. ET, with TNT having live broadcast coverage.
