The short-handed Boston Celtics made it all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals last season, ultimately falling to the Cleveland Cavaliers in seven games. This season, however, the C's will have several starters returning from injuries, including Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward, which means players like Terry Rozier will be relegated to a reserve role.

Rozier, aka “Scary Terry,” isn't concerned about coming off the bench for Boston. In fact, the former 16th overall pick tells ESPN's Chris Forsberg that everyone on the team will be sacrificing to achieve a common goal.

“I’m not worried about it. Kinda control what I can control. We all got one goal and that’s to win. We all get love when we win. That should be everybody’s mindset. It’s going to be a lot of fun. Everyone will sacrifice to win.”

Without a doubt, the Celtics are glad to have Rozier on board. After graduating from Shaker Heights High School in Ohio, where he averaged 25.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 4.7 steals in his senior year, the crafty point guard went on to Lousiville, where he led the Cardinals in scoring as a sophomore with 17.1 points per game.

Rozier made 80 appearances with the Celtics during their 2017-18 regular-season campaign, averaging 11.3 points on 39.5 percent shooting from the field (38.1 percent from beyond the arc), 4.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and a steal in 25.9 minutes per outing. His averages jumped to 16.5 points, 5.7 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 36.6 minutes per game in the playoffs.

Rozier played an important role for the Celtics last season, to be sure. The fact that he would be so open to taking a spot on the bench is both respectful and commendable. It seems he just wants to help the team in any way he can.
