Last season's second-round matchup between the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers was one for the books. It marked the beginning of a budding rivalry between the two teams, which Celtics guard Terry Rozier discussed in a recent interview.

The feisty 6-foot-1 point guard is certainly loving every bit of the fledgling rivalry, claiming it adds a little bit of extra motivation whenever they play the Sixers.

“It’s gonna be two teams getting after it, whether it’s biting, scratching, no matter what you have to do to win, that’s what it’s gonna be,” said Rozier, via Tom Westerholm of MassLive.com. “I think we’re looking forward to it. I know I am.”

That's one way of looking at it. Some guys easily get distracted by all the brouhaha surrounding rivalries, and sometimes, it throws them off their game. This definitely isn't the case for Rozier, who appears to thrive in all the animosity.

According to the 24-year-old former Louisville standout, one particular aspect of the rivalry he relishes is all the trash talking produced by Sixers star Joel Embiid.

“I like the stuff that Embiid talks. It’s good for basketball, it’ll get you hyped up, so you know, if they like it, we love it. It’s going to be a lot of fun. We ready for it.”

Rozier and the Celtics will be up against Embiid and his Sixers on opening night, and we're all at the edge of our seats eagerly waiting for the season to finally start up again.
