Tracy McGrady has the Boston Celtics, not the Golden State Warriors, winning it all this 2018-19 season.

McGrady, an NBA legend whose career could have been even better if he hadn't been hampered by nagging injuries, looked ahead of the 2018-19 NBA season and made a bold prediction on who he thinks will lift the Larry O'Brien trophy come June.

In an interview with Rachel Nichols of ESPN, McGrady said that the Celtics are ready to win the NBA championship this season.

Boston has put together an impressive roster and is without question the team to beat in the Eastern Conference now that LeBron James is with the Los Angeles Lakers. Danny Ainge has done an excellent job of signing stars and drafting young stars as well.

Last season, the Celtics made it all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals before being knocked out by James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. They did all that without Gordon Hayward and Kyrie Irving on the court.

In 2018-19, the Celtics are going to put out a starting lineup that includes Irving, Hayward, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and Al Horford. That lineup is not going to be defeated very often. Throw in a bench that includes Terry Rozier, Marcus Smart, Marcus Morris, and Aron Baynes, and their second unit is going to be good as well.

Brad Stevens is arguably the best coach in the NBA. He has continually proven that he can get the most out of the teams he coaches.

All of that being said, McGrady's prediction may be bold, but it certainly could come true this season.
