The Boston Celtics will be back home for Game 3 in their first-round series against the Brooklyn Nets. It's been a series dominated by Brooklyn so far as they lead the best-of-seven bout 2-0.

In another Eastern Conference series, the Knicks and Hawks are deadlocked at 1-1. In the final seconds of Game 2 at Madison Square Garden, a fan attempted to spit on the back of Trae Young, promoting outrage and the Knicks to ban the fan for good. Celtics big man Tristan Thompson spoke up about the incident and certainly didn't hold back any words.

To put this into context, Thompson is listed at 6-foot-9, 260 lbs. To spit on him or at him for any fan would be a welcoming death march. When the Trae Young – fan spitting incident was brought up on Friday to the Celtics center, here's what he said.

For any fan to do this, it's flat out wrong and idiotic. There have now been three separate incidents in three first-round matchups of fans going way over the top and being ejected and banned because of it.

In Philadelphia earlier this week, a fan poured popcorn on Russell Westbrook as he hobbled off the floor and into the tunnel after sustaining an ankle injury.

In Utah, a few fans said some wildly inappropriate things to Ja Morant's dad, who was in attendance for Game 2 in Utah.

And the aforementioned incident with a fan spitting at Trae Young happened in New York.

The league and the teams have taken the right course of action by getting rid of these fans and banning them from future games and events.

One thing is super clear though, if you cross Celtics big Tristan Thompson like that, expect a knock at your front door.
